March 13, 2021. Three separate times in my life I have had to deal with the Midwest MDPD. An outcome of two falsified reports, one was legit.
around 2003, 2007 at a time when body worn cameras were nonexistent, and now 2021.
I admittedly did have less than 0.25 of a gram of marijuana and rolling paper (2003). community service hours and an outpatient drug rehabilitation program.
(2007) I called the police from work, while working to report shoplifting and a fight in the parking lot. She got upset when I paused her screaming and told her she didn’t need to give me a god damn attitude; it wasn’t my fault they left before you got here. charged for filing false police report, public defender told me he would not submit camera footage from store if we go to court it would be my word against hers. And as he said, and I quote “we know how that goes and you’d be looking at 30 days”. No contest and a donation of over $1000.00 was my price to stay out.
March 13, 2021 two officer falsified reports of threats of violence towards police for use in baker act in a time when (in past tense) I considered myself undoubtedly in their support. Labeled as High Risk for lawfully owning weapons and reloading equipment as a Civilian for use in our Marksmanship Program. Still ongoing…

I believe justice in color belongs to the Civil. Not the police; a sometimes-accredited agency to be given the role of enforcing laws even those blatantly unjust to the people they refer to as their constituents. Accountability is our responsibility.
